Jiangsu Maoyi Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly Changzhou Maoyi Automotive Lamp Design Co., Ltd.) was established in 2007. Nestled in Menghe Town, Changzhou — renowned as the Capital of China’s Auto & Motorcycle Components, our company owns a 28,000 ㎡ modern integrated R&D and manufacturing complex. We are a national high-tech enterprise specializing in intelligent automotive lighting and motorcycle optical systems, as well as China’s leading pure ODM full-spectrum automotive lighting solution provider.
We inherit the mature manufacturing standards and forward R&D mechanism of TYC, a top-tier Taiwanese automotive lamp manufacturer. With 18 years of deep industry accumulation, our core competencies cover photometric design, electronic hardware integration, intelligent lighting control and precision precision machining. We own a complete vertical industrial chain: optical simulation design, ECU development, precision mold fabrication, injection molding, component assembly and finished lamp mass production.

Our core product portfolios include matrix LED headlamp modules, full-set passenger vehicle headlight development, complete motorcycle lamp design, optical retrofit solutions for off-road vehicles and commercial vehicle aftermarket lighting assemblies.
We have developed hundreds of mature LED lenses and matrix light modules, and hold more than 80 national authorized patents. Our proprietary technologies cover regulatory compliant photometric performance, AFS adaptive front-lighting system, adaptive driving beam (ADB), dynamic welcome light animations and other premium intelligent lighting functions. Our custom lighting assemblies were adopted for Hongqi ceremonial parade vehicles during the 60th Anniversary National Day Parade of China, a national-level recognition of our core technical capabilities.
As an industry pioneer, we co-developed China’s first mass-producible matrix LED module with leading ODM manufacturers back in 2015, which drew extensive industry attention across the North American market. Our retrofit automotive lenses once occupied over 90% of China’s domestic market share and have successfully penetrated mainstream European and American markets. We provide deep technical support and manufacturing services for well-known aftermarket lighting manufacturers including DEPO, COULPS and SONAR, acting as a core certified supplier for numerous top international retrofit brands.

Maoyi was founded in a 600-square-meter space in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, and developed China’s first bi-xenon projector lens, named "Maoyi First-Generation Lens".

Founder's Introduction
From Hualien, Taiwan to Changzhou: Eden Zhang and Maoyi Optoelectronics' Path of Light.
Eden Zhang was born in Hualien, Taiwan, China Province, China. When he was a child, he liked to dismantle mechanical models. His earliest happiness was to "understand how something turns and lights". With excellent logical analysis skills, he was admitted to the Department of Engineering at Chiayi University in Taiwan with high scores. Leaving the school gate, he joined Taiwan's most powerful automotive lighting company, TYC, as a development engineer for the entire car lighting system.
Through the various light distribution curves, he mastered the matching logic between the car lights and the entire vehicle. Due to outstanding performance, he was selected by TYC headquarters to go to mainland China to be responsible for the preparation and procurement system construction of the new production base from scratch - factory planning, equipment selection, and local supplier development. He ran through every link of car lamp manufacturing, where he not only mastered the optical password of car lamps.This cross Strait industrial experience has allowed him to understand both the strict quality standards of Taiwanese car lights and the domestic market's thirst for high-quality and affordable lenses.
He refused mediocrity and won a utility model patent for his first product, breaking the technological monopoly of foreign giants in one fell swoop. With its ultimate stability and cost-effectiveness, Maoyi quickly captured over 90% of the domestic modified lighting market share. What makes him most proud is not the sales volume, but the fact that Maoyi's optical technology has passed the most rigorous test - being carried on the Red Flag ceremonial car during the 60th anniversary parade of the founding of the People's Republic of China, illuminating the Chinese road with Chinese light.
Nowadays, Maoyi holds more than 80 national patents and has strictly passed the dual system certification of IATF16949 and ISO9001. In 2016, Zhang Zhongyi once again took the lead in laying out the research and development of LED matrix modules, establishing a market position for American and global customers and providing deep ODM/OEM value support.
